Inviting guests
How guests get in
Section titled “How guests get in”Each household gets its own invite link. Anyone with the link can see the gallery. There are no passwords and nothing for a guest to sign up for.
The invite link is not the same as the upload link. The invite link shows the gallery. The upload link only lets people add photos.
Make the links
Section titled “Make the links”- Open Guests.
- Type a household’s name, such as “The Smiths”. You can type several, one on each line.
- Press the button to make the links.
A new link shows at once, with Share and Copy.
Send them
Section titled “Send them”- Share opens your phone’s share sheet, so you can send the link by message or any app you like.
- Copy copies the link to paste anywhere.
- Email. Where your gallery has email switched on, you can add an email address for a household and email their invite from Guests. You are asked to confirm first, because an email cannot be taken back.
- A spreadsheet. Download every link that is switched on as a CSV file, for a mail merge or to keep. Treat it like a list of keys: anyone with the file can open the gallery.
Each household’s row says whether the link has been opened. Use it to see who still needs a reminder.
If a link goes too far
Section titled “If a link goes too far”- Replace makes a new link and stops the old one. Send the new one to the household.
- Switch off ends a link. You can switch it on again later.
- You can delete a link, which moves it to Recently deleted. It can be put back from there.
What guests see first
Section titled “What guests see first”On Guests, open the step that sets what guests see. Set your names, the date, the place and a welcome line. This is the page a guest’s link opens. The preview shows how it looks.
What you can do with several at once
Section titled “What you can do with several at once”Select households with the ticks. The bar lets you email, switch off or on, archive or delete them together.
