Guest photos

Your guests can add the photos they took. Their photos wait for you. They only join your gallery when you approve them.

The upload link is one link for your whole gallery, usually shown as a QR code on cards at the wedding. A guest who scans it can add photos. They see nothing of your gallery.

  1. Open Guest photos.
  2. Make the upload link and switch Guests can add photos on.
  3. Print its QR code on your cards, or download it. The page also has the link itself, to send by message.

Switch it off at any time. Guests who open it then see a kind message that it is not taking photos.

Photos only: JPEG, PNG, WebP or HEIC. Videos cannot be added yet. Guests are told so, and to send them to you another way.

The upload link takes up to 5,000 photos and 20 GB by default. Change sets how many photos and how much space guests can add, up to 20,000 photos and 100 GB. When guests reach the limit, they are told the couple has all the photos they can take for now.

Photos you have rejected still count towards these limits, until you delete them forever.

Photos guests add wait in Guest photos, not in the gallery. Tap some and choose:

  • Approve, then choose which album or folder they go in. They then become ordinary photos, which the site describes and tags like the rest.
  • Reject, to set them aside. The guests who sent them are not told.

The guest’s page asks for an optional name. When a guest gives one, it shows on each of their photos in Guest photos, and “From” and the name shows in the photo’s own window. A photo from a guest who gave none shows no name.

Once anyone has given a name, a From list appears above the photos. It offers “Everyone”, each name with how many photos it has, and “No name”. Choose one to see only that person’s photos. It keeps whether you are looking at Waiting or Rejected. Without a script, press Show beside it.

When you approve a photo, its sender’s name goes with it. If you press Undo, it goes back.

Names are kept as typed, so “Sue” and “sue” are two senders. Names are for you only. Guests never see them.

Rejected photos stay out of sight, in Rejected, until you approve them after all or delete them forever.

Before adding, a guest reads that their photos go only to you, and that you choose what goes in the gallery. They can type their name if they like, and their phone remembers it. While photos are being added they see progress, then a thank you, and a message if one cannot be added. See Adding your photos.
